This is a beautiful area for birding, botanizing, mushrooming and just enjoying the forest. After finding the cache drive into the campground and check out the historic Imnaha Guard Station built by the CCC in the 1930's. Be sure to take the very short walk to the springs nearby. A great spot to sit and relax awhile. Across the creek from the cabin there is a short but unmaintained trail that leads to the largest Doug Fir on the district. Congrats to KCSearcher for being the FTF. Probably should use his cords.
