A trail of 13 caches taking you on a circular walk around Formonthills Community Woodland. Should take you roughly two hours to complete. Please note the carpark closes at 8pm in summer and dusk during winter so please give yourselves ample time. Caches set for GC2XX2F Geocaching Event 6th August, we would politely request you do not hunt for these caches beforehand.
This section of the walk opens out into a lovely meadow, full of native flowers, to include orchid, buttercup, blue speedwell, purple vetch, goatsbeard, to name a few. Bees buzz and flit about the thistle flowers and butterflies flit by, again with an abundance of birdsong. During the summer months you should be lucky enough to hear the call of the Cuckoo.
THIS IS A LETTERBOX HYBRID - THE STAMP AND INK PAD ARE THE SIGNATURE ITEM OF THIS BOX AND REMAIN PART OF THE CACHE. THEY ARE NOT TRADE ITEMS
The idea is to collect an imprint of the stamp in your own notebook, and in turn, (if you have one) leave an imprint of your own unique stamp. No swaps are required, but there is still room for small travellers and Geocoins.
