Geocache Description:

***NOTE***: THIS CACHE IS NOT LOCATED AT THE GIVEN COORDINATES. THESE COORDINATES MERELY LEAD YOU TO ONE EDGE OF THE PARK THIS CACHE IS LOCATED IN. TO COME CLOSER TO FINDING THIS CACHE, READ THE FOLLOWING AND SOLVE THE PUZZLE.

This cache acts as a memorial to my close friend nick-named "Kratchy". I have grown alongside him for the past decade, almost, of my life. I have gone through Boy Scouts with him, played video games with him, shared hilarious times and also serious, profound times with him.

He is as energetic and spirited as this cache. But this cache also holds one of his other traits: it is thought-provoking, and must be approached mentally.

In this cache, you will be provided with enough paper to speak with this fellow comrade of mine. Leave him any note you wish. But be warned, only those of you who push themselves both physically and mentally will be able to share a couple of words with the man I like to call "Kratchy".

Now this Kratchy guy likes his math. I do too, I mean, it's freaking awesome. So to bring you to this cache's ground zero, you must solve a little mathematical (well... kind of.) puzzle.

Binary is the lowest level programming language out there; it runs the most basic functions of computers, flipping switches on (1) or off (0). A string of this can be of varied length:

100101010101
011011000010
etc...etc...

These strings of binary can, then, be manipulated. One such way is to convert it to hexadecimal. To do this, you must convert each group of four bits (1's and 0's) into its corresponding hexadecimal counterpart.

To get to ground zero, convert this string to hexadecimal and then use your deduction skills to figure out what's what:

0100 0001 0101 1000 0111 0100 0101 0000 1000 0111 0100 1000 1000 1000 1000

(***NOTE***: YOU CAN FIND HEXADECIMAL TABLES ONLINE)

But this is merely half the battle; once you figure out the region the cache is in, then you must use your reasoning skills to find it's resting spot.

Remember, only those of you who have the will power in you will be able to be heard by Kratchy.
