This walk is a linear type with 2 caches, this one and Basil Fawlty at Nugent's Wood #2. The cache is a camo'd container measuring approximately 4" high and 1.5" across. It is tubular shape, containing a log book, pencil and small swapsies. The slope up the walk is a gradual one, then it levels out. It is well cut grass making this a very plesant stroll. The name of this cache relates to the state of clue item - we are both Fawlty Towers fans!
For more information about the walk, please see Walk NI.
There is an abundance of street side and off street parking nearby.
To enter the wood, walk parallel with the road, towards the inside of the peninsula, but on the field side of the fence, walking away from the Queens University Marine Science building. On your right hand side you will pass a boarded up white bungalow. Continue along the bottom of the field keeping to the fence, and you will see the National Trust sign ahead. Do not worry about walking on private property - it is a National Trust walk, so all is fine.
Placed with the kind permission of the National Trust Warden - thank you!
