A cache named after one of the Ohlone Tribes of the area.
The Tamyen resided on Coyote Creek and Calaveras Creek. Their language was spoken in the Santa Clara Valley. The Tamyen village was near the original site of the first Mission Santa Clara located on the Guadalupe River; Father Pena mentioned in a letter to Junípero Serra that the area around the mission was called Thamien by the Ohlone.
