Giving Up Wood Be Too Easy Traditional Cache
TorbreckTicklers: Decided to archive this cache as it is such a bad year for ticks and this cache is only accessible by going through a lot of bracken in the summer. Hopefully we will place a more accessible cache not far from here sometime soon!

Giving Up Wood Be Too Easy

A very secret location known only to a few locals. Requires basic GPS navigation and approximately 100 meters of rough terrain (thick vegetation). River and rocks nearby - Keep children and dogs under VERY close control! 15-20mins from car to cache.
We had to think long and hard about placing a cache here because it really is such a special secret place. We will be regularly checking it and will immediately remove it should we find any evidence of your passing (other than swapped items and a note in the logbook of-course!)
Parking available for 3 or 4 cars at the Inver Bridge (58* 09.341, Elevation 10m) otherwise continue into the village to find parking and walk back to the river.
From the parking go through the wooden gate and follow the path alongside the River Inver, pausing only to throw a few pennies into the wishing pool (on the left where the path splits) to ensure a successful find! 40m after the wishing pool you will arrive at another wooden gate.
Go through the gate and continue 15 meters further up the path.
Watch for the faint muddy path on the right leading up through the bracken.
You should now be walking parallel with a large stone wall.
The cache is somewhere very close to this wall!
THE CACHE IS NOT IN THE WALL!
DO NOT START REMOVING STONES!
After finding the cache PLEASE venture further into the woods, now heading directly away from the wall...
You are now entering a quite magical place, tread softly and look closely at the trees. They fall but their branches grow into new trees until they fall and in turn their branches become new adult trees, and on and on. Some of these trees might be thousands of years old!
You MUST take the opportunity to carefully explore this magical hidden glen as much as you can and find your own special spot to simply sit for a while and feel the magic under and around you.
If there ever was a cache that was CACHE IN - TRASH OUT this is it! Enjoy!
* If you go through thick vegetation in the Highland there is a risk of picking up some ticks, especially some very small ones. Unfortunately, under certain weather conditions, this is just part of the Highland experience. They are a nuisance but do not worry about health risks - Lyme Disease (Borreliose) is very rare in the area and we don't have Tick-Borne Encephalitis (FSME) in the UK.
