Geocache Description:


Happy Independence Day.

This was placed to celebrate another great weekend. This is where our geocaching all started many years ago. We come out here every year for at least one weekend in the campground and often times several. This is our favorite place to camp in Alaska. The floods a few years back destroyed the trails all over the area, but the repair to the dam in the lake has returned the water to the lake and the beauty of the area is returning once again.

There are lots of wild roses in the area and more squirrels than you can imagine. Enjoy the trails and your stay in the campground.

The hide is easy and the view is grand. Happy Caching.
