Geocache Description:

The first in the Ripley Branch Line series, Marehay Crossing is a fairly easy cache to access although in summer and spring the path can get a bit overgrown with nettles and such like. The cache is well hidden.

The name of this cache comes from the name of the level crossing at Marehay where the Ripley Branch Line crossed Derby Road and ran up what is now the Ripley Greenway.

The cache is a clear container with a light green lid it contains some information about the Ripley Branch Line in this area. Some of the co-ordinates for RBL #4 are hidden in this cache log book so check the first page. The cache contains a log book, a pencil advisable to bring your own pen. There is some room for small tradable items plenty of room for trackable's and geocoins.
