Old people believed that Engiri-Enoki is tree of separation, and feared it.

It was said that they would divorce before long if the newly-married couple parade passed under this tree.
Woman was not admitted to divorce voluntarily from them at old time.
Therefore, they who want to divorce infused the bark of this tree and drank.

These days, those who want to cure illness visit here.
If you want to avoid DNF, you should wish to the tree.
You can buy votive picture at greengrocery or buckwheat noodle shop.

Cache is nano-size. So it contains no writing material. Please bring it.

縁切榎は別れの木と信じられ、恐れられてきました。
結婚式の行列がこの木の下を通ると離婚するといわれ、人々はこの木を避けて通りました。
昔は女性から離婚を言い出すことができなかったため、
彼女たちはこの木の皮を煎じて飲み、別れを願ったそうです。

現在は自分の恋を実らせるための別れ、または家庭を守るための別れを願ってこの木にやってくる人がいます。
また、病気との縁を切ることを願う人もここを訪れています。
