The second in the series of three of the Hanoverians: The Georges
George I- Reigned from 1714-1727 known to visit Hanover to fulfill his duties there,He spoke German,French but very little English. He died in 1727 during a visit to Hanover.
George the II At age 60 he was the last Britsh Soverein to fight along side his soldiers in battle. The Foundations of the Industrial revolution were laid during his reign.
George the III was known for 2 things: Loosing the American Colonies and for going mad. Though he opposed the independence of the American Colonies right to the end & went to war over it.He died in 1820 after reigning for almost 60yrs ( 2nd longest in Britsh History) He also was the was the King who bought the Queen's home which later was expanded and renamed Buckingham Palace.
