Mapperley Park Series - Iron Horse Traditional Cache

Part of a circular walk of just over 2.5 miles over permissive paths, public footpaths, bridle ways and pavements. There are two stretches where walking along short stretches of quiet roads is required, if walking the whole series.

Parking is available on-street in Mapperley village, or at a number of good sized pull-ins around the circuit. Wherever you park, please do not cause an obstruction - although the roads are generally quiet, there is an occasional bus service and farm traffic on the roads involved.

This cache is a small container near to a stile.

If progressing from "Who'se Sock Is That" then cross the airstrip and a stile, say hello to the horses, then angle left, downhill, over two more stiles (care downhill side is a big step down) - these stiles could be a few of the really muddy areas in bad weather.
