Thomaston Dam was built in 1960, in response to the terrible flood of 1955. It is 2,000 feet long, 142 feet high, holds amaximum capacity is 13.7 billion gallons of water. It comprises 849 acres of land and water.
CAUTION-ACCORDING TO SOME OF THE LOGS THERE IS AN ACTIVE BEES/WASPS NEST NEAR GZ. PLEASE USE CARE IN RETRIEVING CACHE. IF IT GETS TOO DIFFICULT TO RETRIEVE WE'LL DISABLE THE CACHE FOR A WHILE.
If the gate at the top of the dam is closed, then you will have to walk on the paved road across the dam-otherwise you will be able to drive right up to this cache.
We remember a cache was here long ago-since this is a spot that many muggles must stop at, please be discreet and retrieve and replace carefully.
