Come join us in the North Maine Woods, near the
crashing water of Gauntlet Falls for some GSAK talk, TB trade, and
some off road cache runs.
There is a fee to enter the North Maine Woods for the day or for
the day or for the overnight.
Fees and other information can be found at www.northmainewoods.org
Make sure you STOP at the gate on your way in.
Anyone attending is responsible for themselves. This means you
should bring your own camping gear, food for the weekend,GPS,ect.
The roads in are a little rough, you probably won't need 4wheel
drive to get in, but you don't want to bring in the Buick either.
After heavy rains the road can be flooded but still passable, and
watch out for rocks! The official start of the event will be on
Saturday morning at 10am for the ceremonial signing of the
logbook.
To keep with the ORCA tradition we will have a pancake breakfast on
Sunday morning for all who camp out overnight.
Keep in mind that this is a semi-primitive campsite, not a
campground. So come prepared. Space is also limited, so logging and
"attending" is appreciated so we can keep track of how many people
are going to show up.
If you have any questions please email me at
Hiram0357@gmail.com You can also find The Maine ORCAs on
facebook to discuss the event there as well.
