Geocache Description:

Cache is a camoed pill container attached to a branch at or a little below eye level near the fence line of the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Mercer County. This is a park & grab.

I placed another 11 Illinois Spirit caches that are near old cemeteries in northwest Mercer County. The caches and hides are nothing special, just placed to bring you out to some great old cemeteries you might not know are there. The difficulty for many will be in figuring out how to get to the cemetery.

Oak Ridge Cemetery was established in 1881. It is a very large cemetery and, as the other cemeteries in this area, very well kept. There were lots of wildflowers in bloom along the road as I was driving to this cache.

Please be respectful while visiting the cemetery and no caching after dark. Please bring your own pen - for some, you may want to bring a log extractor.

Great country roads - some blacktop and some gravel. Rarely any muggles and no poison ivy!!
Enjoy!
