After you put in your boat and find "Get Launched", why not start out with your first Lake Nokomis Island Cache?
This one is basically a giant ant hill... so keep moving while looking for it or feel the wrath of the ants.
The island isn't too big, and the cache is a small, clear plastic jar with a screw-on top. Bring something to sign the cache with--there is no pencil inside, and only room for the log. It's a little sadistic to put a cache on an island while ants are biting you, but that's part of the fun... This cache was replaced on 7/6/13 when the original hole seemed to be occupied by an animal, stealing the cache. The new container is bigger, and just a few feet away from where the original was (so I didn't bother to update the coordinates). Please r-ehide the cache well!
