Bundyrumandcoke: As we are leaving town tomorrow, I have decided to leave all my local caches in place, except this one, as I really wanted to recover the container due to its uniqueness.
It will live again as another cache down somewhere around Gladstone.
No TB in the cache, so it looks like Kitchy might have gone missing, or is with another cacher who has not yet logged the grab.

A drive by on the way from Blackwater to Emerald
I have driven this road hundreds of times since 1983. Many times I have looked at this cast off piece of infrastructure, and wondered how it got here, and if it would ever be got rid of. Obviously, there is no hurry to do so. Perhaps it will go, when they get around to it. This road is usually pretty busy, so please take care with the kids.
Parking seems to be a problem with this cache.
Eastbound is easy, simply pull over off the side of the road at GZ, the side of the road is not very steep.
Westbound, simply head about 1km further west, and turn left into the sub station access road, cross the railway line- (please, please, please look for trains, this is a very busy line, carrying long heavy fast moving coal trains, which cannot stop quickly, and I don't want to run over you)- where you will find a large turn around area, big enough for caravans, then head back east again. After finding the cache, simply head further east again, and do a u turn before the next rail overpass, or at the Curragh mine/ Bedford Weir turn off.
