Geocache Description:

Pirates have hidden a treasure near Centennial Park. It is your job to find it. Good luck! Argggggg!

In 1876, there was a group of pirates who were sailing to Bay Head. They docked their boat at Scow Ditch and walked over a wooden bridge into a flat area that is now called Centennial Park. Back then, there were no playgrounds or tennis courts. There was just a trail that went in a circle around the area. After hiking around they left the area and found buried treasure on the beach. Suddenly, a cannon boomed in the distance. Another group of pirates was coming after them. They ran back to the Centennial Park area and buried the treasure. Now it’s your turn! Find the treasure somewhere near Centennial Park, but do it fast, the pirates might be nearby. Good luck! Arggggggg!
