Geocache Description:

When returning cache to its position remember two things. one look for the tip of the white knob and two twist slightly clockwise. Australian's have always ruled at Equestrian sports, particularly 'Eventing'. In the Wandin area we have some of the best Riders and Facilities in the country.

Eventing is divided into 3 Phases. The first phase is Dressage. Dressage is a test, in a 60m X 20m arena. Riders perform the same test and are judged for their accuracy and style. The Dressage Phase is always ridden first, it sets the leader board by giving each horse/rider combination positive points. After that the two jumping tests acquire negative points as errors are made. This cache is positioned near one of the oldest, well known equestrian facilities in Victoria. In its day it was ahead of it's time and is still much in demand. It is also the largest wooden indoor arena in Australia. Even more special though, it was owned by the captain of the Hawthorn Football Club, Don Scott. Another interesting fact is that it was actually built by the Hawthorn football club players/members while Leigh Mathews played! We'll always love this place and have some great memories of competitions, clinics and of course friends. The cache has pen, log, earrings, gem stones, dice and the much sort after FTF pathtag! Congratulations on the FIRST TO FIND to Kellyhaunts and Covert!
