Vilniaus Baltupiu mikrorajono vietoje nuo XIV amžiaus žinoma stovejus dvarui. 1978 m. Baltupiu kaimo vietoje pleciantis Vilniui pradetas statyti gyvenamasis mikrorajonas. Dalis kaimui priklausiusiu namu išlike iki šiol, taciau sparciai nyksta... Senieji kaimo pastatai šliejasi prie Baltupiu tvenkinio, iš kurio išteka Baltupio upelis. Karšta vasaros diena vietiniai gyventojai maudosi tvenkinyje ir su šeimomis leidžia laika kaimo pliaže. Šalia yra parkas, jame galima pailseti. FTF - Eurobasket 2011 atributika :)

In the place of Vilnius Baltupiu district in the XIV was manor house. In 1978 Vilnius expanded and in place of Baltupiu countryside was started to build living district. Part of houses belonged to countryside have survived so far, but rapidly disappearing… The old buildings adjoin to pound of Baltupiai, of which stream Baltupiai seep away. Hot summer day, the locals swimming in the pond and spend time with their families in the little countryside beach. Near there is the park when you can take a rest. FTF - Eurobasket 2011 atribute :)
