BundahDrome Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Toy Hunters: Unfortunately, due to different circumstances, we have decided to archive the cache. The grass is really long (there is a risk of snakes), there is lots of rubbish and there are some roadworks going on. The area is no longer as nice and interesting as it used to be. Thank you to all the finder and sorry for any inconvenience. Cheers...

Geocache Description:

Another find-a-word cache by the toy hunters!

You might wonder why this cache is called BundahDrome? The reason behind the name is because this cache is about a secret velodrome in Narrabundah. My dad says that most people in Canberra don’t know this place even exists. Apparently, there are cycling classes that still take place here, and we think their should be a cache about this place to let people know about it.

This is an unknown cache, so it is obviously not at the posted coordinates. You will once again have to work out the attached word find but this time it’s about famous Australian cyclists. Once done, take the letters from top to bottom, left to right, to make 3 words, then substitute the letters into numbers eg:
A=1, B=2, C=3, Z=26 etc. Finally, add them up to make a 3 digit number.

Now, subtract the 3 digit number from the south decimals in the listed coordinates and add the 3 digit number to the east decimals in the listed coordinates.

The cache is a black eclipse tin (BYO pen). From GZ, you can see the velodrome, feel free to have a look, bearing in mind the gate is mostly locked. Please be stealthy so this doesn’t get muggled.

I hope you like this cache.
