Geocache Description:

Trinity is the largest of the United Methodist churches in Isle of Wight County. This cache is placed with the permission of the minister. You're looking for a small container that has room only for a log and a small pencil. Please be careful to rehide just as you found it.

On an adjacent corner from the church is the Academy building. It was build as The Smithfield Academy in 1826 as a school for boys. The building was acquired by Trinity Methodist Church in 1956 and restored in 1964. The Academy building is currently being used for two Sunday School classes.
