Heartland Cacher: Greetings from Geocaching.com I'm Heartland Cacher, one of the volunteer reviewers for new caches submitted to Geocaching.com.

It has been a while since I first looked at this cache. I can't find any recent responses from the Cache Owner about maintaining this cache which makes it appear the Cache Owner is either unwilling or unable to maintain the cache. [b]Cache maintenance includes listing maintenance including updating any changes to the text, updating coordinates, removing needs maintenance attributes and enabling the listing.[/b] The cache will be archived and removed from the active cache listings. Should the owner decide to maintain the cache in the near future (30 days), just contact me (by email including the GCXXX and Cache Name), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, I'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

Magnetic Key Holder

This is a series of caches to highlight a very popular bird watching area. The central Platte River valley is an important stopover for migratory water birds, such as the Whooping Crane and Sandhill Crane, in their yearly traversal of the Central Flyway.
Cranes are among the oldest living birds on the planet. Fossil records place cranes in Nebraska more than nine million years ago, long before there was a Platte River, which by comparison, is only 10,000 years of age. These caches have been placed by 3 families of Geocachers who are all related. We are hoping that this series of caches will have easy access for travelers from I-80 and that you may check out some of the really great other caches in the area while here. Most of the caches are pretty easy park and grab caches-but we did try to throw in a few that hopefully will be a bit of a challenge!
During the months of March and early April Muggles will be very present in the area to watch the Crane Migration. Please watch out for them!
