Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

düg: Went missing way too often, the recommended parking has been illegal for a while, and it kinda of smells there now. Other than that it is a really cool location. The puzzle for Hogwarts has been adjusted.

#3 Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

#4 Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

#5 Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

#6 Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

#7 Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Parts 1 & 2)

Each of these seven traditional caches will include clues written on the back of the logs that will lead you to the final puzzle cache, Hogwarts.

The first to find prize for the final cache will be four tickets to see the final film of the series at an Ultra Star Cinemas near you.

The Harry Potter film series is based on the novels by author J. K. Rowling. The series includes eight films culminating this month with the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2. The series became the most successful film franchise once it surpassed the James Bond film series in 2007 with the release of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

This sixth cache is in honor of the film Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. With the sixth installment of the series we are introduced to the term Horcrux, a dark magical object that a wizard uses to attain immortality by splitting off and storing a portion of one’s soul for safe keeping, so to speak. Both inanimate objects and living organisms have been used as horcruxes and there is no limit to the number of horcruxes a wizard can create. Voldemort is known to have created several horcruxes and left them hidden in far reaching, and often, remote locales so as to prevent their discovery. In Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince Harry and Dumbledore discover the Dark Lord’s secret and set off in search of a horcrux in order to destroy it and prevent the return of the Voldemort.
