Geocache Description:

This cache now has slightly new co-ordinance as the original Sniff Snuff was muggled.

This is my first geocache. It is placed in morden hall park, and is accessable during park hours. Check on the national trust website for more info. I named it Sniff Snuff after the Snuff Mill.

Morden Hall park offers:

Attractive parkland, meadows, wetlands and waterways to explore by foot or by bike

Fragrant and colourful rose garden with over 2,000 roses to see in summer

Historic estate buildings now used by local artisans

Snuff Mill Environmental Centre brings learning to life with interactive displays

On Show: Snuff Story
Discover the history of the Snuff Mill

Explore the fascinating history of the Snuff Mill through stories, images and hands-on exhibits. Discover snuff and the fashion of snuff-taking. Experience how the mill worked and who was involved in the running of the Morden Mills.

There is now a visitor centre too called The Livinggreen Centre which opened on the 5th November 2011 and is focused on living in a green way and being friendly to the environment. There is a nice wooden doll’s house for small children to play with inside, information on green living, a few ‘stalls’ selling local ‘arty’ items and a cafe. The park also offers a small play area with swings, things to climb on and a zip-wire for children.

GEOCACHING ON NATIONAL TRUST PROPERTY IS AT YOUR OWN RISK

Note: After a number of log entries remarking on the terrain I think I should mention this cache is best approached by getting to the gate and walking along close to the fence. This way you will avoid 99% of the nettles. Apologies to all you cachers who had to 'suffer' by doing this one the 'hard way'.

When first put in the geocache contained:
Pencil and log book with sharpener
A set of assorted sewing needles
A plastic frizbee
A pack of playing cards
Mini scissors
A set of travel donimos
plastic toy lizzard
A pair of dice
A rubber
And a £1 coin for the FTF

Congradulations to Cache U Nutter for FTF. And thank You for putting such a nice comment!
