Geocache Description:

The cache is a large micro camo'd to match it's surroundings. It would be capable of holding a few small coins. It is held in place and there is no need to detach the container when logging it.

The cache brings you to Icehouse Park in Dundalk. Hours of opening vary according to the month, see below.

There is parking in O'Hanlon street which borders the park. At ground zero you will find a fine example of an Ice House. Before the days of electrical refrigeration these Ice Houses were constructed and during the winter ice and snow would be packed into these building and insulated with straw. There were used for preserving perishable food stuffs and as a source of ice during warmer months.
