Welcome to the Mines of Old Mine Road of New York. This is a series of caches that I have spent about 2 years researching and searching for to give you a historical tour of 17th and 18th centery mining by the Dutch. Not many of these mines have much written history about them and the ones that do I have included in the posting on the cache page. If you have any knowledge of any history of a particular mine, please post it or email me and i will include it on the page.
Little is know about this mine. This mine is in a unique place and you will enjoy viewing this one when you arrive to it.
*** All cache seekers assume all risks involved in seeking this cache. Use cuation when navigating the area. Watch where you step and where you go. Though most of the mines in this series have either colapsed, were filled in and/or sealed. Some are not. Please do not attempt to enter them. These mine's are more then a centry old and who knows what condition they are in on the inside. Be Safe! Use your head! ***
If you plan to find this cache, Please, DO NOT log it with just a "TFTC". Write a real log. Just as how much "YOU" enjoy finding a cache, "WE" the hiders enjoy just as much reading how a cachers adventure went in finding a cache. Thank You!
