Using the Russian Doll principle, there will be 5 caches in the
Matryoshka series, going from Large to Regular to Small to Micro
and finally a Nano. Each cache is ready for deployment with swaps
and log books. The challenge is to place the next cache nested
within this one if available however PLEASE only take the next
cache if you are going to be able to set it. We do not mind what
kind of cache is set or where. There is no time limit for setting
the next cache if you choose to take it so please take the time to
set a cache you know others will enjoy!
As an added bonus in this cache there is an unregistered Travel Bug
for you to use as you wish .....this will not be in the stocked
cache you may choose to take to place, but in the cache you find!
Again though please let us know the details, and reference this
cache in their description so we can track their progress.
Other caches in the series are as follows:
Matryoshka: GC2PFAH by badgerdaddy
Matryoshka II: GC2WZPX by WalkerClan
Matryoshka III - The Riddle of the Lost Treasure: GC2Y0JK by MantonClan
This cache
is small-micro in size and has been camouflaged. A pen is required
to sign the log book and beware the nettles and thorns!
This cache is not recommended at night and is not accessible by
pushchair/wheelchair.
Beware of dog walker muggles.
There is opportunity for CITO cachers in this area.
Area Background
[Extract] Railways: Lymm to Warrington - The Original Route
The line split, behind what is now Priestley College, into five
shorter branches so that six sidings terminated at the Black Bear
Canal. Just prior to the five-split, another branch split off and
turned westwards. This again split into two with one of the
branches terminating at Loushers Lane. The other branch ran
alongside the Black Bear Canal, on the north side. This line and
the Black Bear Canal then passed under Loushers Lane with the line
terminating at Wilderspool Sidings behind Greenall’s
Brewery.
