Christine's World Cup Challenge Mystery Cache

This cache is temporarily unavailable.

gameoftheirlives: The redirect piece is missing. I’m hoping that a non cacher found it and threw it on the ground. I’ll wait until the snow melts and then I’ll take a good look before I archive this cache. It would be too difficult to find another similar piece to be the new redirect. In the meantime I will just disable this cache.

Geocache Description:

**THE CACHE IS NOT AT THE POSTED CO-ORDINATES**

This is the 3rd in a series of caches hidden in the vicinity of a soccer field. I hope that while searching for it you will stay awhile and watch our town’s youth engage in the beautiful game.

CONGRATULATIONS TO MR. PIRATE CAT AND FUBARMAN FOR CO-FIRST TO FIND!!

This cache is dedicated to our Women’s National Soccer Team who recently qualified and played in the 2011 Fifa Women’s World Cup in Germany. Special mention goes to the team captain, Christine Sinclair, who had her nose broken in their first game against Germany. Despite her injury, Christine continued to play and scored on Nadine Angerer from a beautifully executed free kick. Unfortunately, our Canadian team lost their three tournament games so they did not advance but they showed courage and grace throughout their play and made me proud to be a Canadian.

You will have to do some research to figure out the co-ordinates for the 1st stage of this cache.

A. How many world cups has Christine Sinclair played in up to and including the year 2011?

B.How many games did the Canadian team win during the 2011 World Cup?

C. Find Christine's year of birth. Add the number of goals Christine scored overall in the 2011 Women's World Cup to her birth year. Use the last two numbers of that four digit number for the answer to C.

Insert your answers into the following spaces to find the correct co-ordinates for the first stage.

N 44 0 A. 73 B

W 079 26.6 C

When you find the 1st stage, it will reveal the co-ordinates for the 2nd and final stage which is within 3 km. of the 1st stage.

The 1st stage is the size of a small pen flashlight and does not hold anything.

Good Luck!
