Geocache Description:

A Boxing/Geocaching Mashup Challenge!

Do you have what it takes to be a geo-boxing champion?
Take this challenge to find out how you stack up against your peers!

TKO: (tech·ni·cal knock·out)
noun. The ending of a fight by the referee [challenge cache owner] on the grounds of the opponent's inability to continue, the contender [geocacher] being declared the winner.

This cache CAN be found at the listed coordinates, BUT unlike most other caches, the only way to get your name listed in the description (i.e. "earn your gloves") is by completing the following challenge:

1) You must find at least 10 caches hidden by the same geocacher who is your "opponent" (geocachers with less than 10 hides do not qualify as "opponents" for this challenge), and at least 10% of your finds (rounded to nearest integer) must occur AFTER the publish date of this challenge.
Example: You find 36 caches, all hidden by the same person. At least 4 of those 36 finds (3.6 rounded up) must occur AFTER 7/20/11.

2) You then find and sign the physical log for this challenge cache and log it online, along with a list of the caches you have found that qualify for the challenge, so that we may all "relive the fight". You may list your qualifying caches by any method you wish including a public bookmark or a manual list in your log entry.

3) There are four "divisions" in this challenge and your division will be based on the number of years you have been registered on geocaching.com:

  • Heavyweight = 5+ years
  • Welterweight = 3-5 years
  • Featherweight = 1-3 years
  • Flyweight = less than 1 year

I will list the champions for each division below which is based on the number of caches you have found and listed for this challenge by a single hider along with the number of years your account has been active at the time of your log entry.

Note that your record could be eclipsed by a future challenger! For this reason, I will allow you to log a follow-up note (no need to "re-find" the physical cache) WITH THE CAVEAT that each new log entry must be for a DIFFERENT opponent (i.e. your new log entry may not use caches hidden by the same geocacher as you used in a previous log).

The D/T rating for this cache is based solely on the cache hide. Obviously, the true difficulty of this challenge will vary depending on the current number of finds necessary to make it on to the champion listings below. Please be considerate to your peers by replacing the cache as found taking into account best way to keep contents dry. Please do not remove the container from the zip ties holding it in place! Finally, this cache is NOT accessible from the nearby highway. You will need to access it from Harris Blvd.
