Tasersuaq means "big lake". The town gets its drinking water from
this lake, so no boating!
But bathing is allowed. The lake water is cleaned before entering
the town's water pipes.
There are a lot of flying insects in the summertime, so consider
wearing an insect net around
the head.
The cache is placed on the "easy" side of Tasersuaq. You start near
the town's sports center.
Then you can follow the trail counter clockwise around the
lake.
At the beginning of the trail you can take a dip in the water if
you dare!
After you find the cache, you can continue around Tasersuaq.
If you want an easier hike, stop at the halfway point, turn around
and walk back.
The other half is more of a mountain hike which also requires
(very) light climbing at times.
But you will be rewarded with a stunning view of the arctic sea
with ice hummocks.
