Geocache Description:

Croy Beach (also known as Croy Shore) is located in Culzean Bay near the mouth of Craigencroy Glen. It is owned by the National Trust for Scotland and is one of our favourite beaches that we've ever been to.

Croy Beach is just off the A719 between Maybole and Ayr. It is connected to Culzean Beach (and Culzean Castle) and you can walk the mile walk between the two along the beach. The National Trust for Scotland owns this entire stretch of coastline but note that the cache is not located on NTS land.

We visit here as often as we can and recommend it for all, especially when the tide is out! Mrs QB remembers when you could drive your car straight on to the beach!

Culzean Castle can be seen from here, also Turnberry Point and Lighthouse, as well as Ailsa Craig, the Isle of Arran and the Kintyre Peninsula which can be seen on clearer days. If you pick the right day you may even be able to see the coast of Northern Ireland.

Plenty of parking for the cache at the overflow car park at the top of the hill.
