STATIUNEA FANTANELE se afla la 1050m altitudine, pe malul lacului cu acelasi nume, din jud. Cluj, intre muntii Gilaului si Vladeasa.
Nu are statut oficial de localitate, ci doar de statiune climaterica de interes local.
Lacul din Belis a fost amenajat peste satul de odinioara, care a fost inundat. In perioadele de seceta, cand nivelul apei scade, din lac rasare turla bisericii din Giurcuta de Jos. In lacul de aici sunt organizate scufundari de catre scafandri din Cluj. Cele mai interesante expeditii ale scafandrilor sunt cele care duc catre satul inundat, unde interiorul bisericii este pastrat exact asa cum a fost lasat cu 50 de ani in urma, cand s-a inceput umplerea lacului, loc care pare incremenit de vraja unui magician rau .
Este incorect denumita uneori Belis-Fantanele sau Fantanele-Belis, pentru a evita confuzia cu alte localitati numite tot ... Fantanele.
Desi aproape de Belis, administrativ apartine de Rasca. Este cautata pentru odihna si relaxare, aerul curat de munte si iarna pentru ski.

FANTANELE RESORTis situated at 1050 m altitude, on the shore of the omonim lake, in Cluj county, between Vladeasa and Gilau Mountains.
Has no official status of locality, being considered only a resort of local interest.
Belis lake was fitted out over the old Belis village, which was flooded. In periods of drought when the water level decreases, the lake rises the spire of a church. In the lake are organized divings by divers from Cluj. The most interesting expeditions are those that lead to the flooded village, where the inside of the church is kept exactly as it was left 50 years ago, when it began the filling of the lake, the place seems astonished by the spell of an evil magician.
Often is incorrectly called Belis-Fantanele or Fantanele-Belis, to avoid the confusion with other places allso called ... Fantanele.
Although close to Belis, administratively belongs to commune Rasca.
Is sought for rest and relaxation, for the fresh mountain air and in winter, for skiing.
