Scoala in Marisel
Din cauza teritoriului întins al comunei si a raspândirii vaste si rasfirate a caselor a fost greu de realizat o infrastructura educationala care sa acopere toata localitatea. Exista doua scoli generale (Scoala “Pelaghia Rosu” Stanesti si Scoala Marisel - Marisel), trei scoli primare (printre acestea si scoala Marisel - Costesti) si doua gradinite.
Cele doua scoli generale din zona s-au remarcat prin participarea la numeroase proiecte de dezvoltare a mediului educational. Printre acestea se numara proiectul „Educatia 2000+” sau „În pas cu reforma”, proiect la nivel national, în cadrul caruia cadrele didactice au fost pregatite pentru metode moderne de predare si învatare, au avut loc schimburi de experienta cu alte scoli din judetul Cluj si din tara, diferite excursii.
Un alt proiect major la care au participat scolile din localitate a fost Proiectul pentru Învatamântul Rural (PIR), prin care scoala este promovata ca o sursa de informare pentru comunitate; în cadrul acestui proiect a fost amenajat în incinta bibliotecii comunale Centrul de Documentare si Informare (CDI) si a fost reeditata revista scolii.
Scoala Generala „Pelaghia Rosu” a dezvoltat parteneriate cu scoli din tara si de peste hotare, pe diferite domenii:
- parteneriat cu Scoala Generala Calinesti din jud. Maramures pentru promovarea traditiilor locale;
- asociere cu Liceul de Informatica „Tiberiu Popoviciu” din Cluj- Napoca, cu ocazia Zilei Mondiale a Mediului, când au fost desfasurate activitati de plantare de pomi, excursii în natura pe raza localitatii;
- si parteneriat cu scoala din localitatea franceza La Pesse prin intermediul caruia s-a creat oportunitatea unor schimburi de experienta si au avut loc concursuri de desen pe tema „Satul meu - locul în care traiesc”.

School in Marisel
Because of the very large territory of the village and because of the wide and scattered spread of the households it was difficult to achieve an educational infrastructure, covering all the village. There are two schools ("Pelaghia Rosu" School - Stanesti, and Marisel School - Marisel), three primary schools (among this Marisel - Costesti Primary School) and two kindergartens.
The two schools in the area were noted by participating in numerous projects to develop educational environment. Among these are included the "Education 2000 +" project or "keeping step with the reform", national project in which teachers were prepared for modern methods of teaching and learning, there were exchanges with other schools in the county Cluj and in the country, and various trips.
Another major project, involving local schools has been the Rural Education Project, project which promots the school as a source of information for the community; in this project was arranged inside the Public Library the Information and Documentation Centre (CDI) and the School Magazine was reprint.
"Pelaghia Rosu" School, developed partnerships with schools in the country and abroad in various domains:
- partnership with the Calinesti School of Maramures County, promoting local traditions;
- partnership with "Tiberiu Popoviciu" High School from Cluj-Napoca, with the occasion of World Environment Day, when they planted fruit trees and done hiking in the nature around;
- and partnership with the school from the village La Pesse from France, through which it was created the opportunity for some exchange experience and a drawing competitions was held on theme "My village – The place where I live."
