[RO] Vulcanii noroiosi sunt o rezervatie botanica si geologica aflata pe raza comunei Berca, Buzau.
[EN] The Muddy volcanoes is a botanical and geological preserve near Berca, Buzau county.
[RO] Ei reprezinta formatiuni create de gazele naturale provenind de la peste 3.000 de metri adâncime, care trec printr-un sol argilos în combinatie cu apa din pânza freatica. Gazele împing spre suprafata apa amestecata cu argila. Namolul format de acestea iese la suprafata si, în acele locuri, se usuca în contact cu aerul, formând niste structuri conice asemanatoare unor vulcani. Namolul iesit la suprafata este rece, deoarece vine din straturile de argila.

[EN] They are formed by natural gases emanating from deep beneath the earth (over 3000 meters below) that pass through layers of water and argyle. Gases push the water-argyle mix to the surface as mud. These eruptions dry up and build conic shaped masses resembling volcanoes.
