Welcome to Rockwood Hall! A favorite local spot for afternoon walks, hikes, sight seeing and daydreaming. Don't forget your camera!
This is actually a resurrected spot of a cache that was here not too long ago. A little overgrown in the area, but there is always more ways than one to get to a cache (you don't always have to make a straight line!). Accessible from each of the trails with awesome views from both. Rockwood Hall was the home of William Rockefeller in the late 1800's. The mansion is long gone but the grounds around where it had been has pretty trails, fields and remnants of the old foundation. Not to mention the stunning views of the river and the bridge. Placed with permission of the NY State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (permit # 11/1), cache is large enough for tradeables and swappables. Come enjoy the grounds and take a walk through the park!
