The Ex-Shanklin 'Girls' (The Nickster (N), and Mum (H) of SPO and Mum), having been friends for 40 years (50 years in spring 2021!), placed some caches to celebrate.
We both spent lots of time near the pier - N normally reluctantly pulling one end of a fishing net, H more likely to be having fun!
Extreme stealth is required, especially in summer.
Depending on conditions - shorter people MAY have difficulty reaching this cache unaided, and taller people MAY need to watch their heads!
In order to claim the Nostalgia - Bonus cache (GC3HT2J) you need to find (nearly) all 13 of the other Nostalgia caches and make a note of the letters and numbers from their log books and/or cache containers.
If completing this series as a circular walk, we suggest the following caches next:
Clockwise; GC301W7 Nostalgia - Down The Hut. A nice easy stroll SW along the revetment, which is wheelchair friendly. Loos and cafes on the route.
Before that, a short detour to the NE will enable you to find another cache in the series.
Anti-clockwise; GC36V1Y Nostalgia - Battery Gardens. Take the nearby Ferncliff Path up the slope and left through Ferncliff Gardens, then SW along the cliff top.
