Der Frankfurter Flughafen, auch bekannt als FRA oder EDDF, ist mehr
als ein Verkehrsdrehkreuz. Er ist eine riesige, lebendige Stadt mit
Supermärkten, Restaurants und sogar einem Krankenhaus. Neben
Flugzeugen verkehren hier auch Züge, denn der Flughafen ist nicht
nur an den Regionalverkehr angeschlossen, sondern besitzt einen
eigenen ICE Bahnhof! Zehntausende Menschen arbeiten im, am und um
den Flughafen herum. Über 50 Millionen Passagiere verzeichnete der
Flughafen 2010 bei fast 500 Tausend Flugbewegungen.
Unter den Beschäftigten und Besuchern des Flughafens befinden sich
unzählige Geocacher. Für sie ist dieses Event! Eingeladen sind alle
Geocacher, ob Vielreisende oder nicht. Gemütlicher Schnack ist das
Hauptthema, aber denkt dran, hier sind unter anderem auch Airliner
und Geschäftsleute, die Geocoins und TBs in die weite Welt bringen
können!
Treffpunkt ist am

Food Court der "Airport City Mall"
unter Terminal 1, Bereich A (Kellerebene). Dort befinden
sich ausreichend Sitzmöglichkeiten und verschiedene Imbisse. Die
Lage findet ihr auf
einem PDF auf der letzten Seite unten rechts
(bei den Autovermietungen). Das Geocaching Logo wird euch vor Ort
zeigen, wo ihr richtig seid. Das Logbuch liegt bis mindestens 14:00
aus.

Frankfurt airport, also known as FRA or EDDF, is more than a hub.
It is a huge, living city with supermarkts, restaurants and even a
hospital. Not just airplanes, but also trains run to and from the
airport, which is not only connected to local transit but also
boasts an ICE (intercity express) train station! Tens of thousands
of people work at and around the airport. Over 50 million
passengers passed through in 2010 on almost 500 thousand aircraft
movements.
Among the employees and visitors of Frankfurt airport, there are
countless geocachers. This event is for them! All geocachers are
invited, whether frequent travelers or not. It's mostly about
jovial chat, but remember that this is the place to hook up with
airliners and business people who can take your geocoins and TBs
out into the wide world.
The meeting point is on

the
Food Court of the "Airport City
Mall" under Terminal 1, Area A (basement level). There you
will find plenty of seating and several takeaways. You can find the
spot in
a PDF file on the last page (bottom right, next
to the car rentals). On location, the geocaching logo will show you
that you found it. The logbook will be present until at least
14:00.
