This wyomissing valley was home to dozens of gun makers from as early as 1761. From 1800 to 1860's seem to be the real hayday of gun making shops in the area. Known as an arms manufacturing area, the wyomissing creek also supported many other forms of industry and factories. Local legend has it that a small hidden valley nearby this area was a powder depot kept secret from the redcoats in the revolutionary war. As you travel the area you may see historical signs posted marking some of the locations of the more well known gun factories.
The co-ordinates may not be spot on as reception is not real good here, but still should be an easy find. happy caching!
