Geocache Description:

The Cache is hidden in Aston Woods and although the terrain is not too difficult it is not recommended for pushchairs or wheel chairs. The cache is hidden slightly off a main footpath. The cache is not a significant hike but more of a 20 minute stroll. Enjoy :~)

The cache is located in the village of Aston On Trent in south Derbyshire in woodland just off Maple Drive near a disused psychiatric hospital that has sadly fallen into disrepair due to vandals so it is not recommended that you go onto the hospital grounds. The entrance to the woodland is a tarmac path between sets of houses on Maple Drive. Within the woods there are plenty of paths and the woodland is beautiful especially when the bluebells come into bloom. The cache is located near to a bike track toward the centre of the woods which local youths have built. The container is a small transparent plastic tub concealed within a blue plastic bag. The original contents are as follows: A pen and some lined paper, a blue bouncy ball, a toy car and a 8 ball keyring.
