Geocache Description:

Coppett Hill is a partially wooded common near Goodrich Castle and is encircled by the River Wye. We have hidden our cache at the ruin known as the Folly on the crest of the hill. It is worth the walk up here because the views of the Wye Valley, Herefordshire and the Black Mountains are stunning.

This cache is to celebrate our 150th find, but also it has a special place in our hearts. There was a cache here previously but it was delisted because it was regularly muggled. This was the very first cache that we found back in Sept 2010, so we wanted to put another one here. Also to encourage people visiting our other cache (Coppett Hill Limekiln GC2W9FR) to walk up the hill to see the views. The cache is a small cliplock box. Original contents are a logbook, pen, a couple of bits and bobs, and Dave the travel bug. Please make sure you cover the cache up well so that it is not visible as this can be lots of muggles about. There are a few places to park, eg Goodrich Castle, but you can park in a area just off the lane at the bottom of the path (N 51° 51.733 W 002° 36.475) and find the Limekiln cache on the way up. Permission to place this cache has been granted from the Coppett Hill Trust.
