Come enjoy an Autumn Afternoon along the scenic Brandywine Creek in Chester County. This will be "Year 4" of the event!
09/08 Update:
Date has changed to September 24th due to flooding conditions!
09/04 Update:
There will be the "Poker Run" again. There will be 5 caches hidden with playing cards in each. You must find all 5 caches and take ONLY ONE card from each cache. If you do not plan on finding all the caches then please don't take a card. (There are 52 cards first come first served)You must turn in 5 cards with the numbers 1 thru 5 on the envelopes.The caches will either post the night before or I will post a link to a PDF file of the caches the night before. Envelopes must be unopened!!!
If you have a "chirp" enabled device bring it as it may be helpful at the event?
"Best Log Entry" Read through your past log entries and bring a printed copy of the one you think is the best to the event. There will be a table set up where everyone can read the log entries and then everyone votes on the best one. This must be a printout of the official log entry showing the date it was entered. The Log entry must be dated before 08/01/2011 (This includes the edited date) Please no cheating! This is only a game....
We will also have a moment of silence to remember the significance of this date 10 years ago.
There will be a few other games and the Coffee Stop will be set up again. Awards and prizes will begin around 3:00 pm.

I am going to keep everything somewhat the same as the past 3 years as everyone seems to have fun. I am working on some of the games and will post here as they are set. Event times are 12:00pm til 5:00ish
Several games will be set up so bring your GPSr. Door prizes and raffles will also be going on. Many cachers have asked for a way to help. Since the numbers for this event have mushroomed and keep climbing there will be a donation box to help offset some of the costs. Please give what you can or want as everything helps. There will be a table for trackables so please bring them. I will have someone checking them in and out so that I do not have to explain to someone that their kids favorite toy is not still at my event and is probably gone for ever!
I have secured the use of the facility at the listed coordinates. To make it easy and relaxing for everyone, ALL arrangements have been made for the GRUB (You will not be disappointed) and Activities. So all you need is your GPSr, yourself and your family of course!! There will be some Geogames and Door Prizes as well as many of the activities the park has to offer. This is not a public park so there will not be any muggle factor involved. However if someone needs to use this date as a raindate then there will be muggles around but the event will go on.
You may also bring adult beverages (beer/wine) if you would like as they are permitted in the park. However, pets are not permitted so the geopup will have to stay home (sorry). So please bring your trackables and/or collections to share with everyone. I will have a trackable table for check in/out this time so that they are not missplaced so easily! There is plenty of space to relax and share stories and adventures. This will be rain or shine but it never rains here! Whether you like Paddle Boating on the Brandywine, Rock Wall Climbing, Mini Golf, Horseshoes, and Billiards or just relaxing with good company it should be a very nice time. The picnic will start at noon and go to 5ish. There will be some new caches posted for the event. I will post more details as the date gets closer. Also, if you have not been in the area recently there are again many new caches nearby (you can walk to some) so please make a full day of it.
Please be sure to post how many guests are coming in your “Will Attend” post so that we prepare the correct amount of food!! There will be something for everyone! PS: And the answer to your question. Yes this is all FREE!! There is no charge except that you show up and have fun!!! Hope to see everyone in September!
