NOTE- The final location of this cache has not changed since it was first posted. Unfortunately, the important elements of the cache puzzle have changed since it was first introduced and that required changing the wording and some details of the puzzle. Perhaps the new puzzle (this may be a hint) should be called "The Corner Guard is on the Opposite of Highs Sign Pondering the beavers."

Geocaching has become very popular among the beavers of Simpsonville. These beavers emigrated here from Canada several generations ago. You could tell they were Canadian because of their funny accents and their insistence at using the metric system.

The industrious little creatures were first introduced to Geocaching by Chasemradio at a neighborhood pond. The hobby quickly spread to other nearby beaver lodges. It seems beavers naturally loved finding and hiding caches. They soon settled into organized clans located next to each one's favorite geocache.

All was peaceful and idyllic...until a stranger walked in on their 4th of July celebration picnic and challenged them to solve a mystery. He said, (I will translate this for you because I am sure babelfish does not translate beaver and there are very few human beaver-speakers) "I hear tell that you beavers have made fun of some woodchucks for their starring role in an insurance company commercial. Well, they sent this challenge. If y'all are so dad-blamed smart and all high and mighty and everything, then you should not have any trouble figuring out this little puzzle. Good luck!"

Now the stranger had been given specific instructions by the woodchucks. They explained that he was to give each of the beaver clans a clue to the puzzle and then sit back and watch them sort it out. The woodchucks knew the different beaver clans did not cache together and rarely shared information. This seemed to be the beaver's achilles heel and the woodchucks were just dying for some get-even-point-at-the-dumb-beavers time.

The stranger approached the first beaver clan...the Corner Guard Clan. He gave them a rolled parchment that had a wax seal. The head beaver opened it and read the clue 192.5 at 464. The stranger approached the next beaver clan...the Sign Pondering Clan. Their clue read 170 at 732. The stranger laid the final parchment on the table of the Opposite of Highs Clan. Their clue said 225 at 878.

The stranger addressed all the clans and said, "Now y'all need to share your clues and discuss this information so you can show those woodchucks who is smarter. I know y'all don't talk much to each other so this might be hard. I suggest you find some common ground on which to start."

“The cache you are looking for is part of the Discovering Fountain Inn by GPS series. Please keep a special note as to the location of the Cache’s, the city is in the process of developing a coin for completing the entire hunt. The sheets will be at the Fountain Inn Chamber of Commerce for you to fill out and turn in for the coin. (Sheets should be available starting July 2013). A lot of these caches are placed in historical spots in the city, so take the time to intake a little history.”
