"Growing Up In Saugus (GUIS)".
When I turned 15, my family had two standard shift cars in our house and I wasn't about to let them get the best of me. I was the baby of the family, so one of the licensed drivers would take me to this EXACT empty lot. At the time there were no light poles, so the place was wide open asphalt.
You know the rest of the story.... Start from a stop...Slowly let out the clutch while applying the accelerator...Attempt to move forward in a gliding motion...Chug, chug, sputter, sputter...Stall...Try again from the beginning.
Well, as the title of the cache says, there were plenty of popped clutches, grinded gears, and swerving driving, but eventually I won. I received my coveted driver's license at the Santa Clarita DMV office under the stern eye of a chubby road tester. She had me drive over in East Newhall, on streets I had no reason to drive on before. When we bumped up over the railroad tracks, the glove compartment, secured only by a magnet, popped open onto her lap and I was humiliated. When I turned into the parking lot, she tried to tell me I had taken another car's right-of-way. Those people sure think they are "hot-stuff". Shame on them for causing innocent young people such grief!
The roads were much emptier growing up in Saugus, and it couldn't have been much better.
When hiding this cache, there was no creativity here. The usual mechanism is a bit limited in movement though. You may need a long skinny TOTT to remove the container. Please DO NOT PUSH the container back in too far for the next seeker.
