Airfield instructions

ICAO EKAE N 55.51.08 E 010.27.23 Ærø. RWY 15/33 grass 789 x 30 meter. Elevation -3 ft / -1 m. VFR Day and Night, NOTE: PPR outside VFR day period. Ærø Radio 123.175.

Beware of high power cables and masts 400 meters before landing on RW 15. Avoid overflying nearby bird sanctury below 1.000 ft. Fuel: Avgas 100.

Ingen sommer uden en flyvetur til Ærø. Øen byder på så mange forskellige muligheder, med både Marstal og Ærøskøbing indenfor cykleafstand. Cykler kan lejes på pladsen, som også gerne sælger is til forbipasserende.

Læg også mærke til, at du på denne plads lander cirka 1 meter under havniveauet - på gammel havbund, som nu er inddæmmet og hele tiden pumpes tørt for vand.

Hvis du ikke selv er flyvende, har du her på gode sommerdage mulighed for rundflyvning over det sydfynske øhav. En meget smuk tur skulle vi hilse og sige.

På festdage vejer det ærøske flag over pladsen. Det er et flag med en særlig historie. Ærø har sit eget flag, som er gult, grønt og rødt (lige som Litauens flag). Den gule og røde farve symboliserer Hertug Christians (Christian 4.s fætter) farver. Den grønne farve symboliserer den grønne ø, Ærø.

No summer without a flight to Aero. The island offers so many different options with both Marstal and Ærøskøbing within biking distance. Bicycles can be rented on the airfield, and the staff is also very happy sell ice cream to bypassers.

Also note that you will land on this airfiled about 1 m below sea level - on the old seabed, now diked and continually pumped dry of water.

If you are not flying yourself, we recommend the local short sightseeing flights over the archipelago. A very beautiful trip.

On feast days weighs the Ærø flag over the site. It is a flag with a special story. Aero has its own flag, which is yellow, green and red (just as Lithuania's flag). The yellow and red color symbolizes Duke Christian (Christian 4 th cousin) colors. The green color symbolizes the green island, Aero.
