This site is the world's tallest statue to an American hero.
This site is the statue of Sam Houston near Huntsville, TX. The
statue is the world's tallest statue to an American hero and is
titled "A Tribute to Courage". Sam Houston was an accomplished
statesman who was twice President of Texas, a US Senator for Texas
and he helped to make Texas a state. He was also the Commander in
Chief of the Army of the Republic of Texas, and served as Governor
of Tennessee and of Texas.
This cache has had issues with couch cachers in the past. To
properly document your visit, please post a photo as your "log
entry", which includes a picture of your GPS showing you are at
correct location and which also includes part of the statue in the
background (if possible). Feel free to post additional photos of
your caching party at the site as well.
While you are at the site, be sure to visit the visitor's center
and sign their guest book too!
