Welcome to the Crowsnest Auto Court, a travel bug hotel along the scenic Crowsnest Hwy just outside of Manning Park.
The stop has lots of room for big rig parking, including a left hand turn lane if you are headed east (it will seem like you are driving by but wait and park at the pullout). If you are in a car you can drive up, but it is a short walk for cachers in rv's and semi's. Please do not try and park on Hwy 3 to retrieve the cache, there is ample parking at the pullout or you can drive along the old hwy to the cache. This is near the former site of the Sumallo Lodge which burnt down a few years back. Once a small plane caught in the low clouds landed along the highway here too.
This geocache was graciously donated by Family Extremes, who asked that it be re-hidden as a TB Hotel. My great aunt Sibyl always called hotels and motels auto courts, so I thought I would remember her in the cache name.
When I placed the cache there were 4 ravens flying overhead keeping an eye on things. There were lots of flowers blooming and I could here many pika's squeaking from the rock slide above.
