Rockdale Swinging Bridge
Hidden on February 19, 2001, this is one of the older geocaches in Georgia and a true piece of geocaching history.
Over the years, this cache has welcomed visitors from near and far, drawing cachers who appreciate both the adventure and the legacy of an early hide that helped shape the game in this region.
It has been a real honor to adopt this cache and bring it into the South River Stroll series, where it now serves as a key stop along this stretch of the trail.
The Bridge and the Park
South Rockdale Community Park offers a different feel from other parts of the corridor, with wooded trails, open spaces, and access to multiple types of outdoor recreation.
One of its standout features is the Rockdale Swinging Bridge near the South River, a destination that has drawn explorers for years. Whether you visit the bridge first or save it for after the cache, it adds a memorable layer to the adventure.
