Hatatateishi

There is a monument of "Hatatateishi" which means the stone placing the flag in Japanese. In 1884, the radicals entrenched themselves in the Mt. Kaba to overthrow the Meiji government in September. This incident resulted in failure. However, it counts among the Movements for Civic Rights and Freedom in the 1880s.

Cache info: I found him at a 100 yen shop. He is a mascot of GC, isn't he?

旗立石
この付近に旗立石のモニュメントがあります。明治１７年（１８８４年）９月に、急進派が加波山に立てこもり明治政府の転覆をはかりました。この場所は『自由の魁』の大旗をひるがえしたところといわれています。この事件は失敗に終わりましたが、自由民権運動のひとつとして日本の近代史に残る事件となりました。
