Geocache Description:

One day on the Trail my dog Sadie and I set out to place a new cache on the Katy Trail. This is the story through her eyes. Park at parking coordinates and follow the cache page for a true letterbox experience.

Today my owner took me to this cool place called the Katy Trail. He packed some water and a cache container and headed out. We crossed the highway looking both ways. My leash is on because it's required to have my owner under control while on the Trail. We cross through a wooden gate thing and see a white sign on the right that my owner says "Trail Conditions"...hmmm. Everything must be ok because we continue on. Boy I wish my owner would walk faster as I want to check out the flowers and things. I see brown eyed susans, Quen Anne's Lace, and Spiderwart flowers. After 1/2 mile we see a sign on the left with numbers...2 2 4. I think that's a mile marker (what's a mile marker?). Up ahead a deer crosses the trail and soon is off in the brush. Off to the right in a field we see 6 wild turkey, very cool. Soon we see an information board on the left. Hmmm...this would be a good place for A cache but not for MY cache.

Moving on we get to a big curve...looks promising. Continuing on we can start to see down a big hill. Lots of neat things ahead but I'm tired. To the left I see what looks like a short path and trees. About two adult steps on the path there is a small group of trees. This is it! We put the cache on the ground at the base of the trees. My owner gets the coordinates and he opens up the ammo box to check one last time. Yippee, we left new doggie toys, a log book, a stamp pad and treat stamp, and other goodies.
We cover it with sticks and it's ready to find.

We both take a BIG drink of water and then turn around to head back. It's about a mile each way. Come find it!

Permission was granted to place this cache.

*** Congratulations and a big "two paws up" to Ozarks Jim, phenixcachers, Dakender and Spookiy on the FTF! ***
