A cache located on the western shore of the Mud Pond.

I have wanted to place a cache here for a while. I was originally going to put a magnetic on the guardrail, but I realized this area deserved more than just that. The Mud Pond has always been and important landmark in Slocum Township. It is fed by a few natural springs (one of which is on the left of Blue Ridge Trail just northeast of the cache area.)
The Mud Pond is almost entirely covered in lily pads in the summer and ice in the winter, perfect for ice fishing. You are likely to see people fishing off of these banks at all times of the day (and night).
The cache is a small camo'd lock and lock that holds a log and cache note, a pencil, some keychains, a little frog jumper, decals, a magnet, and a ring that never fed the lion.
Be careful as GZ is surrounded by poison ivy in the summer and slippery rocks all year.
Don't forget to enjoy the view. Don't forget to grab my other area caches (if you haven't already).
Congrats to Breadhead on FTF!, Glad you enjoyed the cache and the area.
